Following a successful ECI process, ADCO’s NSW team completed the redevelopment of Wollongong Central shopping centre for GPT Group. The $40 million design and construct project involved converting an existing 4,500m² Myer tenancy into a new high-end food hall for David Jones. The works also included the construction of additional specialty retail tenancies, a new link mall and vertical transportation.

We completed the live refurbishment of ENEX, a PCA A‑grade mixed‑use building comprising basement loading docks, Woolworths, the ENEX retail mall and a 24‑storey office tower. Works spanned four basement levels and three retail levels, including a building extension, new façade, upgraded services, and a new eight‑door lift lobby to maximise usability and net lettable area. Delivered within a busy inner‑city retail environment, the project was carefully staged to minimise disruption while enhancing connectivity, performance and tenant amenity.

Roselands Shopping Centre

Aligning with Vicinity Centres’ retail vision, this project delivered a major refurbishment and fitout of Roselands Shopping Centre, upgrading the existing mall into a contemporary retail and fresh‑food destination. Works included the refurbishment of mall areas, food courts and entry statements, the introduction of new retail tenancies and anchor stores including ALDI and Woolworths, and the delivery of a new fresh‑food mall concept inspired by the local community. The fitout was completed within a live trading environment, staged to minimise disruption while significantly enhancing customer amenity and functionality.

Wenty Leagues Club Redevelopment

ADCO partnered with Wenty Leagues Club to deliver a major extension and refurbishment of its main facilities. The $85 million project included a three‑level building extension and refurbishment of the existing mezzanine, creating a vibrant dining, entertainment and function precinct aligned with the club’s masterplan. The first stage delivered a premium casual dining and entertainment fitout featuring multiple food offerings, main bar, kids’ play area, indoor and alfresco dining, supported by one of Sydney’s largest kitchen fitouts. Additional works included a grand entry, Char Steakhouse, a 248‑space basement and suspended carpark, with further staged fitout works completed in 2020 including a cocktail bar, pre‑function spaces and function and meeting rooms—all delivered within a live, operational club environment.

Sutherland Pavilion Performing Arts Centre

The Pavilion Performing Arts Centre project delivered a major internal fitout as part of a refurbishment and extension for Sutherland Shire Council in Sydney’s south. Works included the fitout of a new 683‑seat auditorium, orchestra pit, stage and flytower, along with dressing rooms, rehearsal spaces, meeting rooms and upgraded vertical transportation. A feature Glulam timber atrium forms the primary internal arrival space, creating a grand entry sequence. Delivered in collaboration with Root Partnership and NBRS/CHROFI, the project provides a high‑performance, community‑focused performing arts venue and was recognised with the 2023 NSW MBA Excellence in Construction Award.

Qantas Terminal and Lounges Expansion

We were selected to deliver the design and construction of the multimillion‑dollar extension and refurbishment of the Qantas Terminal and Lounges at Brisbane Domestic Airport. The Qantas Club Lounge was expanded by 1,800m² with a new façade aligned to Brisbane Airport Corporation requirements, while ground‑level areas were reconfigured to create a premium valet and passenger processing experience with direct landside‑to‑airside access.
Delivered over 3-stages within a live airport environment, the works included terminal expansion and base building upgrades, followed by the internal fitout of the Qantas Business Lounge, Chairman’s Lounge and refurbished Qantas Club, all while maintaining full operational continuity.

Pier F Melbourne Airport

The Pier F extension project has increased the usability of the existing Pier Foxtrot structure by converting the existing Ground Support Equipment (GSE) storage area and disused office space into passenger circulation, queuing and boarding for gates F14 to F20. This increased the departure gate capacity for Terminal 4 and facilitates additional passenger movements at Melbourne Airport.
The project provides shared user boarding DDA compliant toilets and seating, and has improved the service and comfort for passengers boarding and arriving at Pier F gates. A permanent upgrade to Gate F11 by construction of a fixed link from the departure lounge to the connection point, an aerobridge and rear boarding stairs was also provided.

Parmelia Hilton Refurbishment

Property group Hawaiian and Hilton appointed us as Builder of Choice for the $42 million refurbishment of the Parmelia Hilton in Perth’s CBD. Delivered within a fully operational hotel, the project included a revitalised exterior and lobby, refurbished guestrooms, a new executive lounge and a proposed connection to Brookfield Place. Guestrooms were comprehensively upgraded with new bathrooms, air‑conditioning, flooring, furniture and in‑room technology, increasing the hotel from 284 to 309 rooms and suites. Works were delivered across seven carefully staged phases to maximise construction efficiency while maintaining continuous hotel operations and expedited room re‑occupation.

Central Government Relocation

The $54 million project at 52 Martin Place was delivered over 6 separable portions and included significant fitout works with base building and services upgrades, new IT, AV, server and data facilities, which were meticulously planned during the 2.5-month ECI period. The level of key stakeholder management applied to the project was significant. Proving our ability to work effectively within the client’s parameters, the project was delivered under a fast-track program of nine calendar months.

Mirrabooka Government Office Fitout

Complementing the range of interiors projects for the Western Australian Government, the Mirrabooka development encompasses a 4-level fitout, comprising multiple interview rooms, meeting rooms, dining areas and general open plan commercial office space. The project demanded a high level of detail and finish with numerous areas, including high acoustic ratings in both walls and ceilings, a broad and high-end specification joinery package encompassing detailed upholstery and various curved and feature gyprock and timber ceilings. A high level of specification for AV and security systems was also incorporated by our team.

Yarra Valley Water Office Fitout

Yarra Valley Water’s head office at Mitcham is a workspace of the highest quality. The $12m project combines contemporary design and aesthetics with practical break out areas and functional office accommodation.
The 2,500m2 base build and fitout was designed by both GHD and acclaimed workspace architects Gray Puksand from Melbourne who wanted the project to influence the end users and ultimately encourage thinking, enhance productivity, promote relaxation spaces and generate a communal meeting space where knowledge sharing and problem solving are combined in a collaborative forum.
The facility provides a workspace full of choices, intimacy and daylight that has been delivered to the highest standards of quality in keeping with the design principles envisaged for the development.

Western Australia Police Fitout

The WA Police project at 144 Stirling Street, Perth, comprised a 3‑floor interior fitout delivered within a live, fully operational major crime facility, with an additional tenant occupying Level 3. Works were completed in two separable portions, including the demolition and refurbishment of the ground, first and second floors, and an end‑of‑trip facility within the ground‑floor warehouse area.
The project required significant security upgrades and integration with existing live systems, with all personnel subject to WA Police integrity checks. Careful coordination was essential, including the staged replacement of roof‑mounted mechanical equipment and the scheduling of disruptive works to minimise impact on ongoing operations.

Legal Aid Commission Fitout

Our Perth operations delivered the Legal Aid Commission of Western Australia fitout across Levels 1–6 at 32 Georges Terrace. Located within a commercial office building still under construction by a third party, the works comprised a complete tenant fitout, including electrical, mechanical, AV, CCTV, partitioning, ceilings and floor finishes.
The completed workplace accommodates hearing rooms, mediation and conference rooms, a main reception counter, public waiting areas and interview rooms. A high standard of custom joinery was a defining feature of the project, with finely detailed, purpose‑designed elements integrated throughout to support functionality, durability and a calm, welcoming environment appropriate for a public legal facility.

Kings Square North Campus Fitout

We were pleased to deliver this central Fremantle fitout project for the Western Australian government, which offers over 14,500 m2 of contemporary office accommodation in the heart of Kings Square precinct. Located between Queen Street, Newman Court and William Street, the scope of works on the $13 million project included the fitout of all tenant areas in the North Campus, with other works in the tenant lobbies on the ground level.
The project solidifies our position as the leading contractor for Western Australian Government department fitouts, having also completed the State Administrative Tribunal (SAT), Department of Mines and Petroleum, Legal Aid, Western Australian Police and the award-winning Mirrabooka Government Office fitout.

Manor Lakes Redevelopment

As part of Uniting AgeWell’s Ten Year Property Strategy, the works included new administration offices, a hairdressing salon, a café and additional car parking.

Mount Hospital Refurbishment

We were selected as the Builder of Choice for an Early Contractor Involvement process with Healthscope and Johnstaff for the Mount Hospital Refurbishment. Our teams initiated the forward works package while concurrently undertaking preparations for the main works, which included a new waiting and reception area, a retail pharmacy, the addition of a new day surgery admission and reception area on Level 1 and the redevelopment of Level 2 to have 35 private rooms with ensuite and a new Clinical Support Services area. The hospital, which is the leading private cardiology and cardiac surgery hospital in Western Australia, remained open throughout the construction works. With extensive experience working within live hospital environments, our team ensured construction works were staged, ensuring minimal impact to patients and families accessing the hospital.

Chisholm Institute Redevelopment
